The Osun State Police Command has arrested a 40 – year old man , Kabiru Oyeduntan For beheading a 20- year old girl in Apomu Ikoyi, Isokan local government area in Osun State.
This was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, in a press release statement tendered to Adulawo News on Friday at the Command headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State.
He said the suspects was arrested by the a team of police operatives in collaboration with the local security agencies upon credible information and intelligence led policing that a 20 year old girl yet to be identity was beheaded.
Olokode further disclosed that the suspects was arrested with the butchered body parts of a suspected lady of about 20 years of age.
The statement reads “On 10/06/21 at about 9pm, upon credible information and intelligence led policing that some ritualists beheaded an unknown lady at quarry area of Apomu, a team of police operatives in collaboration with the local security outfits swiftly moved into action and arrested one Kabiru Oyeduntan ‘m’ aged 40 years of Moninun compound Ikoyi with the butchered body parts of a suspected lady of about 20 years of age. Meanwhile, the police having critically looked at the severed body parts observed that some body parts are missing. The police subsequently extended investigation and conducted search today 11/6/21 at the house of the suspected killer and recovered the head, wrist and other parts of the severed body not found inside a box in one of the rooms of the suspect”.
He noted that the suspect will be charged to court after the completion of investigation.
