The lawmaker representing Ila State Constituency in Osun State House of Assembly, Honourable Lateef Adebisi Jayeola has described the just approved Federal University of Medical Sciences as a product of unwavering effort of the Asiwaju of Ila-Orangun, Chief Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande’s commitment towards the growth and development of Ila-Orangun and it’s environs.
The Chairman, house committee on Commerce, industry and cooperative in a release to congratulate the Orangun of Ila-Orangun, Oba AbdulWahab Bibire Oyedotun, the former governor of the state who was also the pioneer interim National Chairman of All Progressives Congress Chief Adebisi Akande.
Honourable Jayeola specially acknowledged the role of the Governor, State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for letting the long overdue mission and dream of the town come to a reality.
In the same spirit Honourable Jayeola rejoiced and identified with the sons and daughters of the ancient town both the Young and the old including Ila-orangun’s indigenes in the disapora on what he described as a monumental achievement that will herald lots of development and Government attention to the igbominas.
Jayeola expressed confidence in Government Stating that he has no iota of doubt that the establishment of the University in Ila-Orangun is a manifestation and reflection of the age-long and consistent support of the residents and dwellers of the town towards the ideals of the progressives pioneered by late sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
The parlimentarian thanked and appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari’s led Federal government for citing Federal University of Medical Sciences in Chief Adebisi Akande home town just as he promised the readiness of all and sundry his unwavering support towards APC government at all levels.
Honourable Adebisi Lateef Jayeola therefore appealed for maximum cooperation of the people of the ancient when the construction of the approved University takes off saying the development will not only boosting Commercial activities of the town but it will also attract foreign investors and Researchers into the community.
