Police Apprehend Soldiers Who Attempts To Release Detained Cultists From Custody In Osun

The three soldiers who were alleged to have invaded a police post in Obelawo area along Ikirun road in Osogbo Tuesday night to free their colleague and cultists detained by the police have been apprehended.
According to Prowling Eagles, the military men actually went to the station to free their colleagues and some suspected cultists kept in their custody in an unruly manner and they were arrested by the police.
It was earlier reported by Adulawonews that three soldiers stormed a police station to free their colleagues detained by policemen.
Adulawonews gathered that the heavily armed solider fired gunshots in the atmosphere upon their arrival at the station. 
Security report has it that, the Tactical Unit of Anti-Cultism set up by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode through distress call effect the arrest of the unruly behavior soldiers.
Findings however, has it that soldiers-policemen face-off was as a result of an attempt by one soldier now in detention to get one of the suspected cultists that were arrested on bail in an unruly manner and he was rebuffed by the police.
The soldier unknown to the policemen had called on his colleagues who came to the station to forcefully release their colleague and cultists, but they were overpowered, arrested and taken to the CID.
Osun Police spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola,confirmed that incident.
According to her, “the soldiers came and behaved themselves in an unruly manner but were not successful”
Investigation is on going as three of the soldiers have been nabbed.
