Some concerned members of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ifelodun LCDA, Eweta of the State of Osun have alleged bias in the selection of principal officers among the newly appointed members of the Caretaker Committee appointed by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola last week.
The members from Ward 06 in a statement said the position of Chairman and Secretary was given to the same ward 08 which negates the spirit of fairness and justice.
The concerned APC members believed that the positions should be merit distributed evenly among the wards.
According to them, ward 06 is the second largest ward in Ifelodun LCDA which needs special recognition and be treated in such ways.
The APC members argued that those chosen as vice-chariman and secretary have been in power for the ast 5 years.
The statement signed by Ilerioluwa coordinator, ward 06, Ifelodun LCDA, Oatunji Iyiola, appealed to leaders from the LCDA to correct the injustice done to Ward 06.
He said, “We will like to appeal to the leaders to consider our position by returning the position of secretary to Ward 06 which is second largest in Ifelodun Local Council Development Authority.
“We anticipate your swift solution in the interest of our party APC and members of ward 06,” he added.
