Soldiers Foil Attack On Oyedepo’s School In Kaduna

The Nigerian Soldiers on Monday foiled an attack attempt on Faith Academy, a secondary school owned by The Living Faith Church Worldwide, founded by Bishop David Oyedepo in the early hours of Monday.

It was gathered that the shooters broke into the premises of Faith Academy through the back gate around 1 a.m. opened fire on both Bethel secondary school and Faith Academy, but were repulsed by soldiers with the help of the school security team.

The institution is not distant from a boarding school in Kaduna State’s Chikun local government area where several attacks and numerous abduction occurred in the last fews days following the activities of bandits who are continued to wreak havoc in the state.
A parent whose son attends the school said that the school administration had ordered all students to go home last week, with the exception of SS3 students who were studying for their final year examinations.

She stated that suitable arrangements have been made for the SS3 pupils to be relocated to Barnawa in the Kaduna south local government area, where they will continue their studies.

She praised security personnel for acting quickly, adding her son and others who were in the hostel at the time of the incident were safe and had been removed from the school grounds.

When contacted, the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said he couldn’t confirm it, but said security personnel were busy all night resisting
