Security Operatives Engage Kidnappers Cross Fire, Free Four Kidnapped Victims In Osun

Security Operatives on Tuesday engaged kidnappers in cross fire fight at Odo-Osun around Imesi-Ile in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun and secured the release of four out the passengers kidnapped by suspected gunmen.

Recall that Adulawonews had earlier reported that a commercial vehicle from Ekiti was going towards Ikirun through Ila road when the gunmen waylaid it at Odo-Osun and took passengers to a nearby bush.

Reports say the gunmen shot severally to force the vehicle to stop before all the passengers were whisked away.

Adulawonews gathered that the abducted passengers regained their freedom through the concerted efforts of Police, local hunters, Vigilantes and members of Oodua People’s Congress.

The medium learnt that the security agents stormed their hideouts and rescued four of the victims.

Adulawonews gathered that the security personnels and the bandits engaged in gun battle for some minutes before the rescue was carried out.

One local securityman according to the source sustained gunshots injuries during the course of rescuing the abducted passengers.

As at the time of filling this report, Police and local hunters, Vigilantes, members of OPC and other local security personnels were still in the forest as they intensify efforts to rescue the remaining kidnapped victims.
