The Deputy Chief Whip of State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi has congratulated Olowu of Kuta in Ayedire Local Government area of Osun, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama on the occasion of his birthday.
Ogunkanmi in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Osogbo eulogized Oba Oyelude Makama on his birthday anniversary.
The lawmaker noted that the monarch’s years on the throne of his ancestors has brought remarkable impact to the entire dynasty ,illustrated by his contribution to the educational , social and cultural development of the people both for the people at home and in the diaspora.
He also lauded the monarch for his immense contributions to the socio-economic development in Ayedire local government.
The Lawmaker representing Ayedire State constituency extolled the traditional ruler’s courage and determination in upholding the values of integrity, hard work , saying he has impacted positively on the lives of thousands of Nigerian youths.
Ogunkanmi’s congratulatry statement reads in part “I thank the Almighty God for granting you yet another opportunity to celebrate this day in good health and peace of mind in service to people Kuta, Owuland and humanity at large.
“Since your ascension to the throne, you have added great value to the traditional institution. Also, as a custodian of tradition, you have been a great advocate of peace and community development as well as the progress of your people.
“I also appreciate you for your immense contributions to the socio-economic development of Local Government. You have in no small measure, demonstrated your role as a father to all of us and we say thank you. We wish you many more years.”
Commending the revered monarch for for his regular counsel to government, institutions and families, the lawmaker said the present and coming generations would continue to remember the present Olowu of Kuta’s efforts at strengthening unity among the Owu Kingdom.
Appreciating God for seeing the foremost Osun monarch through in spite of very many challenges, Ogunkanmi prayed for long life in good health and wisdom for the royal father.
