Chairman Dies In Sleep Four Months Into His Second Term

The Executive Chairman, Mr David Irimagha of Bonny Local Government in Rivers State has been reportedly died early on Saturday morning at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Although, the family is yet to make any official confirmation but it was gathered that Irimagha passed away on Friday night.

The deceased was serving his second term as council chairman, which is barely four months old before the sad incident occurred.

Though a source who claimed to be close to the late politician in Bonny LGA who pleaded anonymity confirmed Irimagha’s demise, spokesman of the state Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, was yet to answer calls put across to him.

Omoni also had yet to reply to a text message sent across to him as of the time of filing this report.

The late LG boss was passionate about ending the insecurity, especially pirate attacks along the Bonny waterways in Rivers State.
