Supreme Court Justice Samuel Oseji Dies

 

Justice Samuel Oseji, a Supreme Court Justice has died at the age of 67.

Mr Oseji, who was said to have been battling with illness for some time had his last breathed on Tuesday in Abuja.

Festus Akande, the Supreme Court spokesperson, confirmed his death.

“It is confirmed that he is dead. He was sick for some time,” Mr Akande said.

The 67-year-old man is an indigene of Aniocha north local government area in Delta.

On November 6, 2020, Mr Oseji was sworn in as a judge of the apex court.

He was a judge at the Court of Appeal, serving in Lagos, Enugu, and Benin.

He was the chief registrar of Delta State High Court in 1997.

In November 2020, Mr Oseji was one of the eight Court of Appeal judges promoted to the Apex court.
