The Speaker State of Osun House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has assured the protesting Contributory Pensioners in the State that their 30 months half Salary Arrears would be paying in due cause.

Hon. Owoeye disclosed this today while addressing the pensioners who came to House of Assembly Osogbo to register their grievances.

Hon. Owoeye who appreciated the ways and manners which the all senior citizens took to register their grievances.

He said that their grievances are understand by the entire members of the house.

He noted that the present administration have their interest in mind while something would be done earnest.

According to him, “Because of pensioners interest, this government refuse to appoint board members of several government parasteters in the State”.

“The government is managing the little resources of the State” he added.

He assured the pensioners that their interest would be address by government before next week ending.

He said, “By Thursday next week, l must have meet the state governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola on this issue and hope on positive result and your 30 months arrears will be settle”.

Meanwhile,in another development the Speaker of the Parliament Rt Hon Owoeye has read a letter dated 28th of September, 2021 written by governor of the state Mr Gboyega Oyetola seeking the lawmakers of laying the year 2022 budget estimate before the State House of Assembly on 5th October 2021 by 11 am.

However, under the Matters of Urgent Public Importance, the lawmaker representing Ejigbo State Constituency Hon. Israel Oyekunle brought to the notice of the House of Assembly the fire incident occurred at Secretariat of Ejigbo South Local Government Development Area Ilawo which destroyed local government properties.

He advised that people should caution about the uses of electrical and electronic in home, public and government offices at large.

In another development, the State House of Assembly has directed the management of both Prism Steel limited Ikirun and Ife Iron Nigeria limited ile -ife to appear before the house of assembly on Wednesday next week.
