The State of Osun House of Assembly has advised the Ministry of Youth and Sport to make use of youths in Osun for positive development.
The Chairman House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation Hon. Taiwo Adebayo Olodo made this known today at the ongoing budget defense exercise at the State House of Assembly Osogbo.
Hon. Olodo who commended the state governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola on youths development across the state.
He described the youth as engine room for development.
He urged the ministry to be up to task in all their endeavors to better outfit.
According to him, “The youths are engine room for development of any nation”.
“There is need to engage them in one way or the other” he added.
In their various contributions, the lawmakers advised the ministry to handle youths affairs strongly for better result.
They also advised the ministry to improve on creative intelligent.
They wanted the ministry to continue hunt for talents among the youths.
The Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr. Olayemi Lawal in his response said that the state governor Mr Gboyega Oyetola has invested so much on youths development across the state.
He said, “The state government under the leadership of Mr. Gboyega Oyetola have so much invent on youths development across the state of Osun”.
He promised to relate and keep abreast with the house of assembly on their activities.
Among the ministries, departments and agencies of government appeared for defense exercise including Ministry of Political Matters and Inter-governmental Relations, Ministry of Youths and Sport and Osun Sport Council respectively.
