The Deputy Chief Whip, State of Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi has received an award of exellence from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Osun chapter.
The ANAN President in the state, Mr. Terigbade Rafiu while presenting the award said Hon. Ogunkanmi was honoured due to his commitment to the accounting profession.
Mr. Rafiu commended the lawmaker for staying true to the ethics of the profession in handling matters relating to the management of public accounts in the state of Osun.
He eulogised the awardee for his support to the association urging him not to relent in being its worthy ambassador.
Responding, Hon. Gbenga Ogunkanmi appreciated the association for the honour.
The Osun Assembly Deputy Chief Whip urged the ANAN in the state to remain firm in keeping to the ethics of the profession and continue their unflinching support for the APC-led government in the state.
He noted the importance of accounting in every sector of the society, He said accounting plays a vital role in running a business because it helps you track income and expenditures, ensure statutory compliance, and provide investors, management, and government with quantitative financial information which can be used in making business decisions”.
