Oyetola Has Written His Name In Gold Through Developmental Impacts In Osun – Engr. Badmus

The Honourable Commissioner for Regional Integration and Special Duties in Osun State, Engr. Olalekan Badmus has lauded the governor of the state Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola for his developmental impacts in the state, saying he has etched his name in gold.

He added that it was no surprise that Governor Oyetola was able to achieve much during his three years in office.

The Commissioner stated this in a press release issued to commemorate the Third Anniversary of Governor Oyetola in Office on Saturday in Osogbo.

According to him, “no leader would put people first in every of his approach without achieving a milestone. We all can attest to the fact that, since he assumed office, he has only rolled out programmes and policies that everyone would benefit from.

” I would like to also remind us that his first move back in November, 2018, was a thank you tour that helped him compile a detailed needs assessment of the people of Osun state and to a large extent, he has fulfilled those needs.

“The essence of his style of leadership is to have a definite priority. Those who are clamoring roads, if given a market, would never appreciate it. So we try to give to the people exactly what is right.

“Mr. Governor also sat down and looked at the programmes he has floated. Say payment of salary as and when due, release of over N700 million monthly for retired workers, the 332 Primary Health Centers built across all wards in the state, reversal of the education policies to suit global standards, construction of over 600kms of roads, especially those that have been last touched in 30 years or more, lifting of embargo on promotion and conversion, rewarding talented Osun students at every Independence Day celebration with mouthwatering prizes, and among many others. Mr. Governor realised there is a class of the society that all of these do not matter to – the vulnerable ones among us, who he now feeds on monthly basis with different food items.”

The Special Duties’ Boss who is also the State Chairman of the Ounje Ileri Steering Committee, noted that through the Scheme, Mr. Governor had reached out to over 240,000 vulnerable households in the state, while the scheme has rubbed-off positively on the economy of the state.

He said the scheme was designed to help businesses in the state grow while at the same time, addressing the issue of hunger among vulnerable persons.

Engr. Badmus however stated that, the majority of the people of the state often appreciate this administration while he prayed for victory for All Progressives Congress at next year’s polls.

“I want to use this medium to congratulate my principal and I’m sure I speak the mind of majority of the people of the state if I said we always appreciate this administration and in sha Allah, victory shall be ours at next year’s polls,” he said.
