Oyo Security Task Force Raids Criminals’ Hideouts, Recovers 23 iPhones

The Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, better known as Operation Burst, has recovered some stolen i-Phones from a suspect at Sabo area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

This was revealed on Thursday by Director-General (DG) of Operation Burst, Colonel James Oladipo (rtd),

Oladipo said the stolen phones were recovered during the security outfits raids on black spots and hideouts of criminals within Ibadan metropolis.

He also said that the raids were part of the security outfit’s efforts to protect lives and property in the state especially during the “Ember months.”

“We have been on the trail of criminals who have been terrorising citizens and residents at strategic locations, especially in Sabo area of the state,” he said.

Oladipo, who explained that the suspect is now at large, called on persons who were recently robbed of their i-Phones within Ibadan to come forward with proof of ownerships to reclaim them.

While assuring the public of Operation Burst’s immediate response to distress calls, the DG urged residents to give useful information that will aid security agencies in performing their duties.

Oladipo added that the outfit is in synergy with other sister security agencies.
