The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has enjoined Nigerians to keep their hope alive in the greatness of our country, Nigeria.
He called for attitudinal change by always present themselves as a pride and good ambassadors of Nigeria.
He described 2021 as a challenging year, saying surviving the natural and artificial incidences of the year was a grace.
Oba Akanbi described the pull through as purposeful, urging Nigerians to belief in themselves and the country to achieve the purpose of survival.
Oluwo also commended the federal government led by President Muhammed Buhari for infrastructural developments most especially Lagos-Ibadan express way. He stated Lagos-Ibadan road users are now enjoying their journey without traffic jam, noting such was a magic to him for the past 2 weeks.
Equally, Oluwo tagged Nigeria’s rail transportation service as monumental achievements as such revitalization will reduce traffic stress and timely delivery.
He tasked government to do more in securing Nigeria and formulate policies capable of improving people’s standard of living.
A new year statement by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, reads “Hope is a promisory note. When you have the hope, you have to work for it. The first step is the will. That is, you must belief in your self. It starts from there. As Nigerians, whether at home or diaspora, we must trust and have the hope in our country. It is a collective task. Our society is a product of what we do to it. Let’s imbibe the spirit of patriotism and begin to bring out the best in Nigeria”
