The management of University of Ibadan (UI) has inaugurated a “Task Force on Students’ Transcripts” to ease requests and collection processes of academic transcripts.
The task force was set up recently by the management.
According to the management, “the process will ensure that students’ transcripts are deployed online so that requests, payments, and delivery of transcripts are fully automated.”
Before now, there have been delays and discomfort in obtaining transcripts by graduates.
“On 14th December 2021, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the “Task Force on Students’ Transcripts” with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) as the Chairman,” a statement from the VC office reads.
“The Task Force has commenced work immediately in a manner that reflects the urgency of the task, and the utmost importance that the Vice-Chancellor attributes to it.
“Applicants for transcripts will be able to track the progress of their requests, print student copies online, and select the courier company that would handle their transcripts’ delivery.
“Right now, graduates from the last two sessions (2020/2021, 2018/2019) have their transcripts available online and will be able to access them once the portal is deployed very soon.
“The process of digitizing the examination results of the previous sessions has already commenced with the 2017/2018 session.”
The management said it is committed to protect interest of graduates and ease request and collection of transcript.
“We are fully committed to protecting the interest and progress of our graduates and wish to assure them that a lasting solution would soon become operational.”
