Member of the House of Representatives representing Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa federal constituency of Osun State, Honorable Yinusa Amobi has been lauded for lifting his constituents out of poverty.
Amobi on Saturday during the empowerment program distributed hundred motorcycle, fifty three sewing machines, forty freezers, forty seven generators, five tricycles and sixty coolers.
Others are hundred gas cylinders, and forty seven dryers.
Also, 13 Camry Toyota cars were distributed to All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders across the three local government of his constituency.
Speaking at the flagging off of the empowerment programs, Amobi said the program was to complement the efforts of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s good governance in human capacity development and service delivery.
The green chamber lawmaker appreciated his constituents for their support and confidence reposed in him, saying he will continue to represent them and ensure dividends of democracy get to them.
“I wish to categorically say that the symbiotic relationship that is existing between members of National Assembly and the government of the state of Osun will continue growing in ensuring that our common goal of developing this state to greater heights is not shaking” he said.
Governor Gboyega Oyetola who was represented at the program by the Secretary to the State Government of Osun State, Prince Wole Oyebamiji while declaring open the distribution of the empowerment items in his address said, Rep Amobi’s empowerment program is in line with the giant stride of his government.
Oyetola said since he assumed office, his development agenda has focused on building and revitalizing the economy that is syndicate upon an aggressive forces for a truly diversified economy to provision of infrastructure to support social economic development and empowerment of the teeming citizens to become active value and wealth creator.
According to him, “I am delighted to join you on this important and historic occasion of the empowerment programme which is a giving back to the electorate of my dear brother and friend, Honorable Yinusa Amobi.
“I will like to appreciate Honorable Yinusa Amobi for this historic giving back to his people in which is in line with our development agenda.
“I will like to congratulate all beneficiaries of today’s unique and great occasion.
“I must mention that this programme is having support of our administrations commitment to making lives better for our citizenry.
“We are convinced that our quest to build Osun of our dream is only possible to the extent which our people empowered to contribute to societal development.
“We will continue to be guarded by truth in believing on development agenda with focus on accountability and integrity” Oyetola said.
Also speaking, the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu II extolled the lawmaker saying his kind gesture of lifting his contituents out of poverty is commendable.
The monarch noted that Amobi has demonstrated to the world that he values and appreciates his constituents, adding that for his well done stride he deserves another four years.
Oluwo charged the beneficiaries of the empowerment program to use the items given to them judiciously, urged those who are yet to benefit from the reps member to wait for their time.
