No less than 150 political thugs were on Wednesday arrested by the Nigerian Army in Akure, Ondo state at Awure/Efon Junction, Efon Alaaye, Ekiti State.
It was gathered that the political thugs were heading to Ado Ekiti for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary holding today in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
They were reportedly arrested around 3am on Wednesday.
It was further gathered that the soldiers would take the suspects to Owens Barrack in Akure for further investigation.
The Public Relations Officer of the Brigade, Akin Omojokun, confirmed the arrest, adding that the Brigade would soon issue a statement on the development.
