A man simply identified as Mai Goni has fled after allegedly hacking his father, Goni Kawu, to death with a pestle in Masaba, Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe State.
ASP Dungus Abdulkarim, the state PPRO disclosed this in Wednesday in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital
He said that the incident happened on Tuesday at about 7: 30p.m.
According to him, “65-year-old Kawu, sustained an injury on the head as a result of the attack and was confirmed dead by a doctor in the hospital.
He added that the 20-year-old suspect fled the scene after committing the crime.
