Germany has said it is supplying 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 stinger missiles to Ukraine to fight invading Russia.
There has been fierce fighting in Kyiv over control of the Ukrainian capital as Russia forces get closer to the city on Saturday morning.
German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz in a tweet on Saturday said Russian attack on Ukraine marked a turning point.
He said it is the duty of Germany to support Ukraine against the invading Russia.
“The Russian attack marks a turning point. It is our duty to do our best to help Ukraine defend against the invading army of #Putin . That’s why we’re supplying 1000 anti-tank weapons and 500 stinger missiles to our friends in the #Ukraine ,” he tweeted.
