NLC Wades In To Resolve Abuja, Lagos NURTW Crisis

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has revealed that it is wading into the current crisis between the leadership of Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and its Abuja parent body.

Acting National Chairman of the NLC, Alhaji Najeem Yasin disclosed this to reporters in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

He added that NLC would soon invite the leadership of both NURTW headquarters and its Lagos chapter for an amicable resolution.

Yasin urged the Lagos State government to stay action on the union’s crisis and allow the NLC to resolve it.
Yasin, a former national president of NURTW said NLC as the umbrella body would not fold its arms and allow the crisis to degenerate.

He appealed to members to give peace a chance and allow the NLC to resolve the issue.
