As the 2023 general elections in Nigeria draw nearer, a lot of events have unfolded; different individuals have taken the bull by the horn by coming out to declare interest in contesting for various political offices at the polls.
However, not all the aspirants are ready to serve the interest of the people or can be trusted to lead the people. While some lack ability, some lack capability. There is big a difference between qualified citizen and qualified candidate. While the former is legal-based, the latter is more of morality, ethics and mores. Anybody can aspire and declare, the weight and fate of the aspiration is determined by the voters.
Among those coming out to declare their interest in getting the All Progressives Congress’ ticket for House of Assembly, Abeokuta North State Constituency Honourable Akeem Oluseye (HAO) stands head and shoulders above. HAO, as records have it, has been on the political scene of the state and LGA since God knows when. During the governoship election of Prince Dapo Abiodun, he was deployed as an election observer.

Oluseye’s unquenchable love for the people made him join the chairmanship race for almost two years, 2019-2021 and only bowed down to party decision where the incumbent council chairman, Honourable Adebayo AbdulSalam Ayorinde was selected.
During the chairmanship elections of Honourable Ayorinde, Oluseye played a pivotal role in his emergence as the chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government as member of the finance committee. He also went round for supervision of the election.
During the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Hon. Akeem Oluseye was on ground catering for the welfare of party members throughout the lockdown. Food items and cash were donated to people across 16 wards of Abeokuta North.
Oluseye’s philanthropic gesture is incomparable; he has genuine love for humanity. A support for him for the assembly ticket is a support for huge development in Abeokuta North Local Government Area.
His wealth of experience and connection will bring forth monumental developmentments to the people. HAO is not an opportunist because his antecedents are working for him anywhere he goes. His contributions to the growth of the party in Abeokuta North is immense.
Oluseye’s humility is second to none. He earns the respect of the old and is admired by the young everywhere he goes. Abeokuta North needs someone like Hon. Akeem Oluseye, who will bring about quality representation and that will listen to their yearnings at all times.
