The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced Prince kola Adewusi as running mate to Senator Ademola Adeleke for July 16 governorship election.
It was gathered that Adewusi ,the Ile-Ife born politician who is from Ife East Local Government Area unveiling was done at a special stakeholders meeting on Monday at the party secretariat in Osogbo.
The state acting chairman of the party, Hon Sunday Bisi, in his opening remarks welcomed party members and pray for victory in the governorship election.
He therefore presented Adewusi a prince of the source to the party members and the public.
Also, Adewusi in his acceptance speech thanked Almighty God for the privilege given to him by the party, the Adeleke dynasty and the entire Ife PDP zone to serve as the running mate to Sen. Adeleke. He promised to serve with diligence, and total cooperation with the governor if elected by God’s grace.
A former National Secretary and BOT member, Prof Wale Oladipo, in his speech thanked party members and stakeholders for zoning the position of deputy governor to Ife and that Prince Kola Adewusi’s name was chosen by the major political, cultural and spiritual stakeholders of Ifeland.
Sen. Ademola Adeleke thanked everyone as he urged members to prepare for issue based campaign. “We are going to tour the length and breadth of this state. We’ll tell people what our party is going to do differently from what we are experiencing today.”
“APC has ruined this country. We cannot continue like this. There’s hardship in the land. By the grace of God, our government will bring succor to the people. We have done it before, we’ll do it again.” He declared.

Senator Ademola Adeleke is from Osun West Senatorial District while his deputy , Prince Kola Adewusi is from Osun East Senatorial District.
