The Osogbo chapter of the Modakeke Progressives Union (MPU) has commiserated with the Ogunsua-in-council, the immediate and extended families of the late Ogunsua, Oba Moses Oladejo Oyediran, Ajombadi III, over the recent passing to glory of the monarch.

According to a press statement personally signed by the chairman of the MPU in Osogbo, Mr Yinka Odewale, and the Secretary, Pastor Oyenpemi Alawode, which was made available to pressmen in the state capital yesterday, the death of the peace-loving traditional ruler was indeed a huge loss to the community.

Odewale stated that the reign of Oba Oyediran was peaceful and positively eventful as it was a period when the community experienced a noticeable leap in the development of the area.

The Osogbo MPU chairman disclosed that it would be on record that the period of the Kabiyesi’s ascension to the throne of his forefathers in the community would
be written in gold as the community was rancour and crisis-free.

Odewale who appealed to all the Modakeke sons and daughters both at home and abroad not to mourn but celebrate Baba’s death because he lived a fulfilled life said the reign of the Kabiyesi was a bountiful blessing to the community.

In Odewale’s words: “It is saddening that such a high literate monarch who combined traditional erudition with scholarly candour would have to bid us a good bye when we were busy enjoying the dividends of his good office.

“Who are we to question God as He is the one who giveth and also taketh whenever and wherever He deems it fit?

“All I know is that no leaf can fall off a tree without the express knowledge of God. Kabiyesi successfully ran his race in life.

“May God Almighty give the monarch’s immediate and extended families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“On behalf of my family and the MPU members in Osogbo, I am commiserating with the Ogunsua-in-council and all Modakeke towns and daughters both at home and abroad, over the death of our father, Oba Moses Oladejo Oyediran”, Odewale stated.
