No less than 3,466 customs officers in general duty and support staff officers have been promoted by the Nigeria Customs Service Board.
The approval was announced in a statement on Tuesday by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Deputy Comptroller Timi Bomodi.
According to him, the board made the decision on March 29 during its 54th regular meeting.
Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the NCSB, presided over the meeting.
Ahmed commended the Customs for the achievements in trade facilitation and revenue generation in 2021.
The minister charged the elevated officers to redouble their efforts in order to hit targets set for 2022.
Comptroller Officers promoted are SA Bomoi, AA Anthony, BO Olumo, CK Niagwan, NP Umoh, OO Orbih, RC Nwankwo, MM Tilleygyado, MC Ugbagu, CD Wada, A Bako, AM Adegbite and KI Adesola (Mrs).
