Youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention have celebrated and appreciated their departing officials, the Director, Youth and Students’ Ministries, Rev Dr S.A.K Olaleye and the Sport Officer, Rev Sam Alabi.
Olaleye is retiring after 10 years of meritorious service as the Director while Alabi resumes the pastorate of the First Baptist Church, Ajegunle, Apapa, Lagos having served for 9 years and 4 months.
The youths through the National Coordinator, Rev Joshua IbukunOluwa, National President, Pastor Enunuaye Onajite, NBCYC leaders and members thanked them for their services to the Lord through the Youth and Students’ Ministries. They wished them success in their future endeavours.

While responding, Alabi thanked the youths for their prayers and gifts and for giving them the opportunity to serve.
He said “I’ve learned a lot in the last 9 years and 4 months. I thank you for your support. God bless you.”
On his part, Olaleye thanked God for the grace to serve noting that he was the luckiest Director of the Youth and Students’ Ministries.
He said “I am grateful to God for seeing me through different phases of my life.
“It’s a stage full of so many lessons. I want to thank my wife. There was no programme that you wouldn’t see my wife with me. There’s no National Conference that you will not see my wife with me. If there’s any iota of good that is attributed to me, the significant part of that should go to my wife.
“I appreciate Rev K.S Adeyemi aka ‘Baba youth’ and all the current executives. I always forgive the youths before you offend me because I know that you will.” He thereafter prayed for the youths.
The immediate past Secretary of the All Africa Baptist Youth Fellowship, AABYF, and current Secretary, All Africa Baptist Fellowship, AABF, Pastor Elias Apetogbo from Togo prayed for the outgoing ministers and youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
Meanwhile, the Board Chairman, Youth and Students’ Ministries, Dr Amos Adamu expressed his delight at the progress made by the youths of the Nigerian Baptist Convention urging them to continue to serve the master.
