Many people want answers from Kylian Mbappe over his decision to reject a transfer to Real Madrid and to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, and it seems we’ll get some of those answers on Monday afternoon as he will hold a press conference.

It will be a joint press conference, with Mbappe speaking to the media alongside PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The press conference is scheduled to start at 15:00 CEST, which is the local time in Paris. That means the press conference should start at 14:00 BST in the UK or at 09:00 ET / 06:00 PT in the USA.

It isn’t clear how long the chat with the media will last, but it could be a lengthy press conference if the PSG press team permit all questions.

The Mbappe transfer saga was one of the biggest talking points in world football for some time and there are many questions marks over how it reached the point of the player signing a new contract, one that will run to 2025 and that was announced before the team’s game on Saturday night.

After this press conference, Mbappe is due to speak again later on Monday, as he is booked in for an appearance on TF1, with that one due to get going at 20:00 CEST, again with this being the Parisian local time.

Kylian Mbappé: “I have respect for Real Madrid and Florentino Perez. I They did everything for me and tried to make me very happy, that’s why I had to call him personally, we’ve a close relationship”.

“I just decided for myself and I made the best decision”.

Mbappé: “Real Madrid? I don’t know what will happen in the future and where I will be in three years”.

“I’ve lot of respect for Florentino Perez and Real Madrid. That’s why I wanted to call him personally, to be a respectful man”.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi: “Maybe Tebas is worried that Ligue 1 becomes stronger than La Liga… La Liga isn’t the same as it was 3 or 4 years ago”

“We have Mbappé, he stays with us and the rest, honestly I don’t care”.

Kylian Mbappé: “Message to Real Madrid fans? I wanna say thank you, as they always accepted me as one of them”.

“I understand their disappointment, and I hope they understand I decided to stay in my country”.
