Biodun Oyebanji, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Candidate (APC) has emerged winner of the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election in seven local government areas as results continue to trickle in.
According to results announced at the local government collation centres, Oyebanji won in Ikere, Emure, Ekiti South West, Ekiti West, Oye, Irepodun/Ifelodun and Ise/Orun Local Government Areas.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Bisi Kolawole, was announced the winner of Efon Alaye Local Government Area, while Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is yet to win any local government.
The final results of the election would be announced at the state collation center in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
