The Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has described the collaboration between the duo of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Engr. Seyi Makinde of Osun and Oyo States respectively on infrastructural growths as the highest ever.
Receiving the Commissioners for Works in the two states, Engr. Remi Omowaiye and Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin, in his palace today, Oluwo described the extension of the infrastructural partnership to Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo road as monumental, and a great joy, saying the duo governors are pride of Yorubaland.
Oluwo expressed optimism on the rapid growth of Iwoland, noting Iwo and her people will forever be grateful to the two public servants.
He eulogized Governor Gboyega and Governor Makinde for their unusual cooperation, partnership and unity capable of engineering a new hope for the two states.
Oba Akanbi stated the two governors have in then true blood of Oduduwa and template for Yoruba political future. He said they did the same when Ladoke Akintola University saga was amicably resolved.
A statement released by Oluwo through his press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, further corroborated the partnership reads “The two governors, Gboyega Oyetola and Engr. Seyi Makinde moved from Ladoke Akintola University settlement to construction of Osogbo-Iwo-Ibadan road. They have displayed high level of political maturity and to me, this is the highest level of collaboration in the history of Nigeria. They have set a template for the greatness of Yorubaland. I urge other leaders to see beyond political differences and affiliation to interest the entire Yorubaland”
