The State of Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof Abdulganiy Raji has tasked journalists to verify their news stories before publication, especially in the fast approaching governorship election in the state.
The INEC Boss made the appeal while speaking at a capacity building training for journalists in Osun on the new innovation in the conduct of elections and the constitutional vis a vis legal issues in the new Electoral Act 2022, held at the Ideal Nest Hotel, Osogbo.
Prof. Raji urged journalists to verify all news content and desist from taking sides during the election.
He stated that election will take place at 3,753 polling units in the state on July 16, 2022.
