The Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reportedly announced the postponement of its National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings.

This was disclosed in a statement on Monday by PDP National Secretary, Samuel N. Anyanwu.

He said a new date will be announced in due course.

Recall that the National Caucus and NEC meetings were supposed to hold on Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, 2022.

According to report, though reasons for the postponement were not given, sources said the party wants all issues between its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike resolved.

Part of the statement read;

“This is to inform all members of the PDP National Caucus and National Executive Committee that the meetings of the two bodies earlier scheduled for Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, 2022, respectively, have been postponed.

“The postponement is due to unforeseen circumstances. A new date will be announced in due course.

“All inconveniences are deeply regretted.”
