An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan on Thursday ordered the remand of a man identified as Joshua Ayeni at the Agodi Correctional Centre for defiling and impregnating his 13-year-old stepdaughter.
The Magistrate, Patricia Adetuyibi, who ordered his remand pending advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), adjourned to October 20.
The 41-year-old man was charged with two counts charges by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on defilement and impregnation.
It was reported that the defendant resides in Molete area in Ibadan.
The prosecutor, Olurotimi Afe, told the court that Ayeni, in January, defiled his stepdaughter who lived with him and his wife and that she later got pregnant.
