The national executive of Osogbo progressives union under the president, Alhaji kamorudeen Makinde has described the plan by some set of people to shut the Osogbo city hall located at olonkoro igbonna, as uncivilized, illegal and a mean to create tension where there is none.
OPU in a statement personally signed by Alhaji kamorudeen Makinde, the nationl president of the union, explained that the rullings of Justice Afolabi of the state High court supercede personal interest of all parties involved explained that no court of competent jurisdiction has ordered the closure of the date sogbo city hall.
According to him, the court only ordered vacation from the O.P.U Secretariat and not the hall that houses traders and artisans.

The national president Osogbo progressives union warned individuals or group of people planning to embark on shutting Osogbo city hall to desist, as every legal action will be taken on anybody caught in the nefarious and uncivilized act.
Expressing the need for those planning to shut the city hall to study the rullings of the highly respected Justice Afolabi or refer such to legal minded people who knows the implications of going against Court’s injunctions or rullings, Alhaji Makinde urged the inhabitants of the city hall to remain calm and continue their legal bussinesses .
