…Addresses Certificate, Transcript collection issues

National Executive Council of Osun state polytechnic Iree Alumni Association has pledged it’s readiness to take the association from localization ground to globalization level through various developmental Programs meant for the benefit of all members across the globe.

This was revealed during a courtesy visit of the newly elected National Executive members of the association to the top management of Osun state polytechnic iree held at Rector’s boardroom of the institution.

The president of the association, Alh Yakub Akeem Adebayo who led other National Executive Council members on the courtesy visit, appreciated the management for the laudable and profitable roles played during the crises of the association which eventually put end to crises.

According to the president, the association is taking serious actions in waging war to various issues affecting the growth of any alumni association as election is a key factor to consider.

He added that the association through its progressive minded members across the globe will henceforth embrace digital election in order to attract widest participation of alumni members across the globe.

The OSPAA alumni president who saluted the proactiveness of stakeholders of the association in the December 10 Alumni convention held in iree, said the current administration will not relent in its oars in maintaining and building the good image of the association through members welfarism, creation of more opportunities for alumni members, facilitation of more cordial relationship and promotion of unity and togetherness among members of the association irrespective of year of graduation and departments graduated from.

The president who also disclosed that Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association which is blessed with graduates who are making impact in their various fields of specialization in Nigeria and other countries of the world appealed to management to partner with the association to achieve it’s constitutional rights by incorporating and recognizing alumni as an entity that stands for all graduates of the institution since inception till date.

The president also appealed to management to find lasting solution to issues affecting the alumni members through certificate and transcript processing and collection as well as lifting the ban on the payment of Alumni annual due which was banned in 2021.

The acting Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr Tajudeen Odetayo who was flanked by the Registrar, Barr B.M Salawu , the Bursar, Mr Femi Okediya and the Director of Media, Protocol and Publicity, Mr Bayo Fadeji, congratulated Ospoly Alumni for a successful December 10 convention.

Dr Odetayo also enjoined the association not to limit their alumni activities to graduates alone but regularly visiting the institution for catch them young programs to groom graduating students on how to behave in the society after graduation.

The acting Rector who solicited support from Alumni to further provide physical and infrastructural development that will place the institution above it’s pearls nationally.

In their seperate remarks, the Registrar, Barr B.M Salawu and the Bursar, Mr Femi Okediya Charged Ospoly Alumni to lunch a database of members and invite more partnership from all graduates of the institution.

The duo of Registrar and Bursar affirmed the institution’s readiness to partner with Ospoly Alumni in providing avenue for the implementation of physical projects for the use of the association in the institution.

The National Publicity Secretary of the association, Adekunle Sikiru appreciated the management for providing avenue for profitable and progressive dialogue between OSPAA and management.

Adekunle Sikiru thereafter prayed for further peaceful co existence in the institution, the Ospoly Alumni and the state in general.

On the entourage of the National Executive Council of OSPAA are vice president Academics, Mr Lawal Ismail, the National Secretary,Mr Odeyemi Anthony, Treasurer, Mr Adebowale Sunday, Financial Secretary,Mr Yekini Saka, Social Secretary, Mr Akeula Kolawole, and Assistance general Secretary Mrs Shakirah Rasheed.
