The State Universal Basic Education Osun State chapter has urged members of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, Osun chapter to join hands together with the present administration in it quest to revamp the state education system on the right track.
Mr Yahaya Bakare, the Osun SUBEB Executive Secrtary stated this while hosting the Executive members in his office.
Mr Bakare said everyone must be ready to ensure that the desired educational goal and objectives of the present administration, under the leadership of Governor Adeleke are achieved.
According to him” Education, it has been observed, is one of the cardinal programmes of the present administration, which Governor Adeleke will pursue with all tenacity”
The Osun SUBEB while appreciating the NUT executive members for the visit, said the narrative of the state educational status must begin to change for the better, saying that school pupils, at the basic level, must be able to read fluently and write legibly in order to establish solid education foundation for the learners.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers, Osun Chapter, Comrade Muritala Fatade Olatoke, on behalf of the Exco members, congratulated the Osun SUBEB Executive Secretary on his appointment, describing it as putting the right peg in the right hole.
The NUT Chairman, however gave the assurance that they are ready to give maximum support to the present administration and will not relent in their efforts at working assiduously for the State educational development, at the basic level in order to lay a solid foundation for the future leaders.
