Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association’s Vice President of Academics, Mr. Lawal Ismail, has suspended by OSPAA’s National Executive Council due to allegations of credential forgery.

Ismail was suspended as a result of the National Executive Council’s decision at an emergency meeting on Thursday.

In a statement signed the National Publicity Secretary, Adekunle Sikiru, noted that the meeting was presided over by the National President of the association, Alh. Yakub Adebayo, in a move to deliberate on the allegation of forgery of OSPOLY certificate by Ismail.

Thes statements stated that, “The president stated that the suspension is indefinite until he is legally cleared by the court of law, adding that, Ismail would not be allowed to further participate in the association’s activities until he is cleared of the allegation.

“According to the president, his administration will not relent on its oars to further maintain good image that Osun State Polytechnic Iree Alumni Association is known for, maintaining the association has zero tolerance for misconduct and criminal acts.

“Yakubu said the NEC decision to sanction the Vice President Academics is constitutionally binded, saying he can be reinstated after he is pronounced innocent by court.

“The association also sympathized with the Vice President Academics, Mr Lawal Ismail who was said to have lost his mother this week.”
