Bayero University, Kano, BUK, has confirmed that it has expelled 27 students and suspended eight others over examination misconduct.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director, Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records of the University, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi.
According to the statement, “The decision was reached during the 400th Senate meeting held on Thursday.
”The senate approved and expelled 27 students and suspended eight others for allegedly being involved in examination misconduct.
”The Senate’s decision is supported by categories 20 and 17 (AI, III, IV, V, VI, VII, and XII) of the University’s General Regulations”.
She added that 22 other students were, however, given a warning by the University Senate.
