A spokesman of the Presidential Campaign Council, All Progressives Congress, APC, Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye for walking out of the national collation centre in Abuja.
Fani-Kayode noted that Melaye and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar would be disgraced.
He pointed out that regardless of whether Melaye was present at the collation center, the election results would be declared.
Several political parties left the national collation center in Abuja under the leadership of PDP’s Melaye and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha.
They voiced their displeasure with INEC over the announcement of the election results.
The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had cautioned Melaye not to be ‘disruptive’ of the collation process. The PDP chieftain had insisted that the results announced should have first been uploaded on the INEC results viewing portal (iReV) for transparency and accountability.
Reacting, Fani-Kayode tweeted: “Walking out does not mean you will escape disgrace at the polls. Whether you are there or not the results will be announced.
“You have LOST. Face it. Tell ur boss to lick his wounds, bury his head in shame & go back to Dubai forever. Stop crying like a baby that has soiled itself.”
