The National body of the Osogbo Progressives Union has congratulated one of it sons, Dr. Maruf Adewale, also known as Gangaria, on his landslide victory at the just concluded National Assembly polls.
This was revealed in a statement by the Union President Alhaji kamorudeen Makinde on Wednesday.
The statement described the victory of Dr. Maruf Adewale Gangaria as a Member-elect, House of Representatives as a true reflection of the love shown to him by his fellow Osogbo indigenes before and during the election.
“The Leadership of Osogbo Progressives Union value our sons and daughters and is always ready to accord them the needed support to attain greatness”.
While felicitating the new member-Elect, House of Representatives Abuja, he prayed God to guide him in a way that he will bring even development to Osogbo.
In another development, Osogbo Progressives Union described Senator Ajibola Bashiru as an achiever and a pride of Osogbo who is always a winner.
The indigenous union of Osogbo who noted that the Senator Ajibola Bashiru’s victory in Olorunda and Osogbo Local government is an indication that he is loved at home as against some speculations in some quarters.
It explained that Senator Ajibola Bashiru is an achiever who remains highly respected by indigenes of Osogbo.
The release which stated that election are either won or lost, assured Senator Ajibola of better days ahead, just as it pledged the support of his fellow indigenes for him.
“No body can lay claim or responsibility that his power resulted to Senator Ajibola Bashiru’s loosing the just concluded election but it was clear that what happened was just an act of Providence”.
The Osogbo progressives Union therefore prayed God for better days for senator Ajibola Bashiru.
