The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, has revealed that 32 patients rescued from Thursday’s collision of a train and a staff bus in the Ikeja area of the state had been discharged.
At a press conference held on Friday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Abayomi revealed this while speaking to journalists (LASUTH).
The commissioner continued, stating that 102 casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
According to him, there have still been six fatalities. At the same time, eight victims from Orile-Agege General Hospital and five victims each from the State Accident and Emergency Centre and LASUTH had received their discharge orders.
