Low Voter Turnout As Voting Begins In Igbeti

 

There was a low turnout of voters as voting began in Igbeti, Olorunsogo Local Government Area of Oyo State.

As of 8:30am, INEC officials were seen seated waiting for the voters while some electorate were seen checking their names on the list.

This was different to what was observed during the February 25 presidential election, where electorate trooped out as early as 7am to perform their civic responsibilities.

Some of the areas visited in Igbeti were Seriki ward 6, unit 7; Ogunbunmi ward 4, unit 4 and Asunmode ward 5, unit 2.

As of 8:45am, voting has started in some polling units while INEC officials were seen waiting for electorate in other pollibg units.
