Electorates in most of the polling units visited by *OsunNewsroom* in Ila-Orangun have vowed not to leave their polling units until their votes are counted and announced.

The general perception of the election in Ila Local Government as monitored by OsunNewsroom crew was that of peace and and tranquility.

The ancient town as usual was quiet with people going about their businesses in some parts and electorates casting and monitoring their votes in other parts.

At most polling units visited as at the time of filing this report, electorates who have cast their votes were seen deliberately seating at the polling units with no intention of going home until their votes are counted and announced.

Some of the electorates who spoke with OsunNewsroom emphasised that they are not ready to leave their polling units for anything until their votes are counted and announced.

79 years old Pa Akanbi Okedun of Ward1, Unit 7 in Oke Ejigbo area while speaking said it is important to stay back and monitor votes before electorates leave.

Also speaking, Mrs Easther Adebisi spoke of the need for electorates to always ensure that their votes are counted at the level of polling units before they leave for their homes.

She said voters need to be given more orientation to know that voting is not complete until their votes are counted and announced openly.

Voting has since ended in most of the polling units in Ila Local Government as at the time OsunNewsroom crew were leaving the area.
