The Kano State government has imposed dawn to dusk curfew with a view to avoid breakdown of law and order following tensions generated from the collation of results of the governorship and state Assembly elections.
The announcement was contained in a statement released on Monday morning by Malam Muhammad Garba, the state commissioner for information and internal affairs.
He claimed that the choice was made to stop criminals from destabilizing the already sensitive situation.
The state’s commissioner urged the populace to stay indoors since troublemakers would not be spared by security personnel.
