Former federal lawmaker Shehu Sani has condemned the conduct of the governorship election in Kaduna State.
He claims that it is far from the desire of the people that Senator Uba Sani, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been declared the winner of the poll by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC.
On Monday night, Dr Lawal Suleiman Bilbis, the INEC Returning Officer, announced that Uba had won the State’s governorship election.
He said Sani polled 730,002 votes to defeat his closest rival, Isa Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 719,196 votes.
“Kaduna Governorship election;not expression of the people but of Kaduna APC & Kaduna iNEC consortium.
“We thank and appreciate the courage of those who rejected tyranny and gave us their untainted votes.
“The candidate will make public his next line of action as he deems. Thank you all,” the former Kaduna Central Senator tweeted.
