The Executive Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Mr Yahaya Bakare has urged the National Identity Commission, NIMC, to activate necessary machinery to facilitate and make the collection of National Identification Cards by every Nigerian easy.
While hosting representatives of the National Identity Management Commission at his office in Osogbo, the SUBEB Chairman made the appeal.
Mr. Bakare pledged his Agency’s unwavering support for NIMC’s efforts to add students from Osun School to their data base, noting that doing so will significantly aid the schoolchildren in their future endeavors.
As a result, he praised the NIMC officials for coming and urged them to work even more to ensure that all essential preparations were made to improve the collection of National Identification Cards.
In his speech, Mr. Olumide Aremu, the Osun State Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission, thanked the Executive Secretary and the Directors on behalf of his colleagues for their cordial welcome.
He also took the time to walk them through the specifics of NIMC activities, outlining the benefits, accomplishments, and justifications for why Osun SUBEB should include schoolchildren under its jurisdiction to their database.
The Deputy Director of Educational Services and other Departmental Directors from Osun SUBEB were there.
