Customs Intercepts Two Containers Loaded With Tramadol In Apapa Port

Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has intercepted two containers loaded with prohibited Tramadol pharmaceutical products.

It was said that the containers came from India.

Comptroller Auwal Baba, the Customs Area Controller (CAC), stated on Friday that the narcotics were discovered based on suspicion because neither the importer nor the clearing agent had arrived to clear the containers.

He added that counting was still going on and that roughly 7000 tablets had been extracted from the two containers so far.

The command would continue to ensure the port’s adequate security and stop the unauthorized importation of dangerous substances into the nation, according to the customs chief.
