Following the violence that left two people dead in the towns of Nassarawa and Trikania, the Kaduna State Government disclosed on Monday that three suspects had been detained.
ADULAWO NEWS reports that due to violence that broke out in two towns and resulted in the deaths of two people, the state administration imposed a 24-hour curfew on Nassarawa and Trikania.
Six people were injured, and numerous vehicles and properties were destroyed.
Speaking in a statement Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, affirms that after an emergency meeting with security agencies, traditional and religious leaders regarding the incident, the state government declared an immediate ban on social activities in the two communities, including Kidan Bishi, Kidan Gala, and hunting expeditions.
Additionally, the declaration instructed security forces to detain anyone they suspect of selling hard drugs.
Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, applauded security officials for acting quickly to stop the violence from spreading beyond of the immediate area.
