Governor Adeleke Commissions 5 Micro Projects At Dagbolu Community Primary School

As part of the activities to mark his 100 days in office, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has commissioned five micro projects at Dagbolu Community Primary School, Osogbo.

The projects which was a facilitated by Osun Community And Social Development Agency, OSUN CSDA, includes constructed fence and gate house, vip toilet, playing arena, rehabilitated 2 blocks of 8 classroom and reticulated borehole water.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Kola Adewusi, said the project is part of the state government commitment in creating a conducive learning environment for students in other to reverse poor performance of students in public institutions.

The Governor said, “The evidence of our Commitment to the implementation of inclusive education, the commitment of promise to launch reform with direct focus on improvement of learning environment and outcome to reverse poor performance of students in public institutions. We are here to move Osun State forward in the area of education putting the decaying infrastructures back in shape.

“In other words, positive classroom environment will always motivate students to learn, remove negative emotions such as stress and other things that impedes teaching and learning.

“We must continually give praises to God for all the giant strides we were able to make within a duration of one hundred days, in spite of huge challenges inherited- unpaid pension and gratuity, half salary saga, gigantic projects at verge of exit from governance and a host of others exhibited by the former administration.”

In her address the General Manager of OSUN CSDA, Funmi Abokede, emphasized on the need for government to invest on education as it eliminates inequality and reduce poverty.

Abokede said, “Children are the future of any community and investing in their education is an investment for the future. Education is the key to eliminating inequality and reduction of poverty; hence the implementation of this project in this Community Primary School, here in Dagbolu to provide a conducive place for teaching and learning.”

She further thanked the state governor for his support in make the projects positive, she added “this commissioning is only possible because of the funding provided by the Executive Governor of the State Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke. 98 micro projects are been funded across the State out of which 5 micro projects are in this school to be commissioned today.”

However, the Headmistress, Monisola Blessing, of the school in her appreciation message thanked the facilitators, stressing that the delipated state of the school had pose security treat on students and staffs.

Blessing stressed that the construction of the fence and gate house will enhance the security and protection of the students and staffs of the school by preventing unauthorized individuals from accessing the school premises.
