The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu, will Today, headline a distinguished panel of speakers at the New Global Financing Pact summit, set to take place at the historic Palais Brongniart in Paris.
The summit, hosted by France, aims to establish a more responsive, just, and inclusive financial system.
As revealed by the program schedule obtained by Adulawonews, President Tinubu’s panelist session is scheduled to take place from 18:00 to 19:00. The panel discussion, titled “Ensuring more reliable, comparable information and data,” will be skillfully moderated by Sylvie Goulard and Mark Carney, the Co-Chairs of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), respectively.

Accompanying President Tinubu to the venue was his trusted Aide-de-Camp, Nurudeen Yusuf. Upon their arrival, they were warmly greeted by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and Europe, Catherine Colonna, signifying the significance of President Tinubu’s presence at this global event.
Among the distinguished panelists sharing the stage with President Tinubu are David Craig, the Co-Chair of TNFD, Mark Carney, Co-Chair of GFANZ, Mary Schapiro, Vice-Chair of Global Public Policy at Bloomberg, Sabine Mauderer, Vice-Chair of the Network for Greening the Financial System, and United Nations Special Envoy, Catherine Mckenna. This esteemed group of leaders will contribute their insights on the critical topic of reliable and comparable information and data.
Notably, the President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, will also join another panel of experts to discuss “Debt and SDR-channelling: where do we stand and how to go further?” Additionally, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, will tackle the question of “what consequences for the trade agenda?” during her participation at the summit.
