The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi has warned citizens against ploting against leaders.
Oluwo Ggave the warning in his Sallah message delivered shortly after the two-Rakat prayer marking the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations, at Yidi Oba in Iwo.
He urged all indegenes of Iwo land at home and abroad to corporate with the the king and other indigenes of the town, for the progress and betterment of the Iwo land.

Speaking on the history of Islam, Oluwo revealed that unlike other cities and town in Yoruba land, it was the Oba of Iwoland who brought Islam to the town of Iwo.
He said Islam came to Iwo first in all of the Yoruba land who doesn’t have any dieties.
He congratulated his people for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
“I celebrate with Nigerians mostly the Muslims, Witnessing this year’s Eid IL Kabir is a rare grace and opportunity. We shall celebrate many more on earth.

“I charge Nigerians to be patriotic in their actions and reactions towards our great country, we must support our the present government both state and federal for the sustainability during the trial perio”, he added.
